Kelsey Heycott
Kelsey’s passion for dance began at the young age of five and continued throughout her training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Contemporary. During her training Kelsey has completed a number of BDA (British Dance Association), ADA (formerly F.A.T.D) and RAD Classical examinations and has been involved in a number of community dance projects including Southern Stars, Rock Eisteddfod and community theatre productions.
Kelsey has since turned her focus to passing on her passion for dance to the students of Kazzajazz as a student teacher and teacher for the past 9 years.
In 2020 Kelsey graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Physiotherapy with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation. As part of her training, Kelsey completed hours of placement as both an Exercise Physiologist and Physiotherapist and has gained experience in both private practice and hospitals to assist people with rehabilitation, strength and conditioning to better their health or recover from injuries. Through her training, Kelsey has an extensive knowledge of the anatomy of the body and the correct way to strengthen the body to prevent or manage injury. In addition to being a qualified Physiotherapist, Kelsey is also an accredited Acrobatic Arts teacher and loves to be able to combine her passion of human anatomy, biomechanics and movement to teach Acrobatics at Kazzajazz.
Kelsey’s compassion for the students is amazing and we know that she will nurture and bring out the talent in your child!
